Who we are

Rooted in the Field. Grounded by Family. Driven by Passion.

At Salute the Outdoors, upland hunting isn’t just a hobby — it’s a way of life we’ve grown into, worked hard for, and now have the honor of sharing with others.

Our journey started not with a perfect plan, but with a deep respect for the land, the birds we pursue, and the dogs that make it all possible. We fell in love with the sport of upland hunting the way most people fall for something real — slowly, honestly, and with a lot of trial and error. What began as casual days in the field soon grew into a lifestyle focused on training dogs, stewarding the land, and mentoring others into the uplands the right way.

Our dogs are at the heart of what we do. We train, hunt, and live alongside our German Shorthaired Pointers, treating every one of them like family — because to us, they are. Their drive, intelligence, and loyalty inspire everything we do.

My name is Paul, and I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t set out to build a family. I thought I was chasing something else. But life had bigger plans, and I’m grateful every day that I followed them. My wife’s love, patience, and quiet wisdom helped me understand the true meaning of legacy — not just in the field, but at home. Raising a family has grounded me, changed me, and brought a purpose to this life that’s deeper than any solo pursuit.

We’re not perfect. We’re not trying to be. But what we are is passionate, committed, and ready to share the upland experience with others — whether you’re just starting out or returning to the field after time away. We’re here to mentor, guide, train, and walk beside you — just like the good dogs we raise.

Welcome to Salute the Outdoors. We’re glad you’re here.
