Whatβs Included
Your mentorship program could be structured around a half-day or full-day experience that balances education, safety, and hands-on field time. Here's a suggested breakdown:
𦴠Pre-Hunt Orientation
Firearm safety review and shotgun handling (non-live fire first)
Upland hunting ethics and respect for the land
Gear overview: boots, vests, blaze orange, hydration, etc.
π― Shooting Practice
Clay pigeon shooting session with instructor guidance
Focus on safe handling, stance, and developing confidence

Guided upland bird hunt with experienced mentors
Use of trained German Shorthaired Pointers in real scenarios
Tracking, flushing, and safe shooting opportunities
Mentors help each youth identify species, terrain, and strategy

Time to ask questions, share stories, and learn the deeper βwhyβ behind hunting
Emphasis on conservation, wildlife stewardship, and personal growth
